Playing with Google.

Well, its fun. They have toys and they are giving them away for free. They are good toys and they work.
"Over the last few days I have upgraded to the new Blogger beta, an updated version of the Blogger I first created this blog on. The old Blogger required a fair bit of HTML (a scripting language for creating web pages) knowledge if you wanted to do any customization. I do and I did. Now I don't need to do any scripting at all. The whole site creation project is done with drag and drop tools right there in the web page. It's so easy, any literate person can do it, I'm sure."

The next toy to tell the world about from my humble online soapbox, is Google Page Creator. Way to knock up a decent looking website quickly in true Google style, once again, right there in a Firefox tab, in what seemed like no time because I was enjoying whole experience!

Okay, thats all cool if you are into blogging and making webpages. Most people aren't.

Some like photos.

I opened a Flickr account a while back to share some of my photos with friends and family. Flickr is a Yahoo! company. That doesn't make them evil. Yahoo! is a fine company. Only today I learned about an addition to Picasa called Picasa Web Albums. It's like Flickr, only better. It intergrates directly into Google Picasa, a free photo management tool with intergrated touch-up tools, sorting tools, crop and print tools, flip tools, filter tools and dammit, now its got an upload tool that lets you put your photo albums and slide shows online for all the world to see... or not, it's up to you.

Damn, I'm impressed!

I wouldn't be surprised if Google did produce an OS that fit on a pen-drive. All you need a web-browser to access all your...
  • Spreadsheets
  • Documents
  • Calendar
  • e-mails
  • Contacts
  • Photos
  • more....
  • and more....
  • and what's next?
Google on!
