Barack Obama takes the top job in the US in a few hours. The whole thing is being broadcast live on TV starting at 1.00am. I've never seen a President get sworn in before so I'm going to stay up and see it. Barack writes some good speeches and, you never know, he might say something important.

how could you not with the media coverage, definitely an historic time for them (us? Meh...).
As far as his speeches, I don't think he writes them, but he certainly speaks them as if they were his own. I particularly liked his Presidential Oath of Office...
Actually, while Barack does have a speech writer, he takes a very hands-on approach. I think you'd be surprised how much is actually written by him.
